Registration Policies and Terms

Experimental Biology is committed to providing a meeting that promotes equal treatment of all participants and is free of harassment and discrimination. As a condition of registration, meeting participants are expected to uphold standards of scientific integrity and professional ethics.

The terms and conditions outlined here, together with the meeting Code of Conduct govern the expected behaviors of registered attendees and staff. By registering for this conference you agree to comply with these terms and conditions and the meeting Code of Conduct. These terms and conditions together with the meeting Code of Conduct are understood to apply to all EB 2021 events and all behaviors for the duration of the virtual meeting whether broadcast live or on-demand.  If you do not agree with the terms and conditions, you should not register for EB 2021.

By registering for EB 2021, you agree to the Code of Conduct

You understand that by registering for EB 2021 you release from liability all EB 2021 staff, societies, society employees, third-party partners, third-party partner employees, volunteers, board members, and agents, including actions of any kind unless caused by the gross negligence of EB 2021.


Access to EB Virtual

Participants will receive login details via email for the virtual platform prior to the start of the meeting. If you do not receive a login, please check your spam filter. If you still cannot find it, email info@experimentalbiology.org. Registrants may not share meeting access with others whether by providing login details or by allowing multiple individuals to view content as the registrant views live or on-demand content.


Accessibility

Experimental Biology wants to ensure your meeting experience is pleasant and accessible.  If you need assistance during the meeting, please complete the email during meeting registration. Please allow sufficient time for management to plan accordingly.


Cancellation

Once registration for EB is confirmed, registration fees are final. Registration substitutions are allowed until Apr. 26, but must be requested in writing to info@experimentalbiology.org and be of the same membership status. 


Etiquette

All registrants must abide by the meeting Code of Conduct


Payment Method

Full payment must accompany your registration. Registration will not be processed with incomplete payment. Accepted payments methods are by Visa, Master Card and American Express.


Purchase Orders

Purchase orders are not accepted.


Personal Information / Badge Scanning

Each virtual exhibitor has the ability to collect registrant contact information details provided the registrant has granted permission to have content accessible. EB is not responsible for their use of your information.


Press Registration

Complimentary registration is available for qualified press. Please view our full press credentials policy and learn about the registration process.


Recordings: Audio, Video or Digital Capture

For copyright reasons, recordings of any kind are prohibited without prior consent of meeting management. Please check with the Meeting Management Office to see if a session is being recorded. Any presenter being recorded during sessions or at the conference must inform the societies or management office prior to the meeting (Photo/Video Policy Link).
 

Unauthorized Solicitation Policy
EB maintains a no-solicitation policy without prior written approval from EB Management. Solicitation can be defined as:
  • Asking for business
  • Soliciting fund management services
  • Distributing grant proposals
  • Requesting grant funding
  • Unauthorized promotions during chats or other virtual options
  • Unauthorized membership recruitment activities
  • Unauthorized promotion of non-EB events
Additionally, EB attendees expect that participation in EB events will not result in future solicitations unless the member specifically invites future contact. Accordingly, we ask that all participants at EB events refrain from using attendee lists or similar information for solicitation purposes without the express permission of the EB Management and registrant.

Any person and/or organization found to be violating this policy may be expelled from the meeting without refund of registration fees. Egregious and/or multiple violations of this policy may result in disqualification from future events at the discretion of the EB.

Data Privacy
EB 2021 will require a valid email address for registration. EB 2021 will use your personal information provided during registration to manage your participation in the event, which may be up to and including event logistics and content, payment, and updates. EB 2021 may share your personal data with our trusted third-party service provider partners who assist us in managing the event. Examples may include our virtual meeting and registration platform providers. In no other case will EB 2021 share your personal data with any other third party without your consent except when required to do so by law. By submitting your valid email address, which is required for registration, you give consent to EB 2021 and its essential third-party service providers to send you event-related information and updates such as login credentials to access the event.
