The San Diego region has plenty of public transportation options that include busses, shuttles, train and light rail to get you around the city.
- MTS - The Metropolitan Transit System (MTS) offers fast and convenient service from the airport to the Convention Center. MTS operates the San Diego Trolley, with a stop right outside the convention center. In addition to the trolley, The Flyer, MTS bus route 992, directly services the airport and the downtown area. Please visit the MTS website for information on various routes, fares and schedules.
- Coaster - The North County Transit District's Coaster provides train service that links downtown San Diego to the region's coastal communities. Stretching from downtown San Diego to Oceanside, the Coaster is a great way to enjoy the California coastline.
- San Diego Free Ride - There is a new environmentally-friendly electric shuttle service bringing all of downtown San Diego closer. Best of all, this service is completely free to ride. Wave down one of the San Diego Free Ride electric vehicles and hop on and off as you wish. San Diego Free Ride runs seven days a week, 12-9pm and later on weekends.
